APPALACHIANS
Physical Landscape
The Appalachians is a mountainous region made up of sedimentary rock but due to volcanic activity and faulting, there are igneous and metamorphic outcroppings. In addition, erosion had rounded the mountains over time creating a landscape of rolling mountains and hills with wide eroded valleys.
