The Great Lakes - St. Lawrence Lowlands consists of flat plains, small hills, and deep river valleys, and its made of sedimentary rock. The Great Lakes portion is a rolling scape as it was subjected to many glaciations in the past. Softer sedimentary rocks had eroded leaving igneous rocks looking like small mountains sticking out of the ground. The Great Lakes Lowlands is surrounded by Lake Huron, Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, plus several small rivers and mixed forests.
