WESTERN CORDILLLERA
Physical Landscape
The Western Cordillera has high, young, sharp-peak mountains that are separated by plateaus and valleys.
The Rocky Mountains
They were formed by folded and aulted sedimentary rock.They contains many fossils and are located along the east side of the Western Cordillera.
The Columbia Mountains
They are composed of mainly sedimentary rock with some intrusions of metamorphic rock. In addition, it too is located along the east side of the Western Cordillera.
Interior Plateau
It consists of rugged plateaus dived by deep river valleys composed of metamorphic and igneous rock. Its located in the middle of the Western Cordillera.
The Coast Mountain Region
It's composed of igneous and metamorphic rock and it found along the western side of the Western Cordillera.
